The original TV version of Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny has four main opening themes and four main ending themes. The HD Remaster changes the late opening to “vestige” and includes remixed or exceptional ending uses. If you remember different music from another viewer, compare the release before assuming either memory is wrong.

The original TV openings and endings
The table uses the 2004–2005 TV series as its baseline. Episode ranges describe regular usage; compilation films, added instalments and exceptional sequences should not be forced into the same numbering scheme.
| Role | Regular TV episodes | Song | Performer |
|---|---|---|---|
| OP 1 | 1–13 | ignited-イグナイテッド- | T.M.Revolution |
| OP 2 | 14–24 | PRIDE | HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR |
| OP 3 | 25–37 | 僕たちの行方 | 高橋瞳 / Hitomi Takahashi |
| OP 4 | 38–50 | Wings of Words | CHEMISTRY |
| ED 1 | 1–13 | Reason | 玉置成実 / Nami Tamaki |
| ED 2 | 14–25 | Life Goes On | 有坂美香 / Mika Arisaka |
| ED 3 | 26–37 | I Wanna Go To A Place… | Rie fu |
| ED 4 | 38–50 | 君は僕に似ている | See-Saw |
Compare the official series credits with the series music reference. Opening and ending changes do not always happen together: episode 25 introduces the third opening while still belonging to the second ending’s regular range.
What changes in the HD Remaster?
| Question | How to separate it |
|---|---|
| Late opening | Original TV: Wings of Words. HD: vestige. |
| Ending recording | ReMix2013 versions of songs such as Life Goes On and Kimi wa Boku ni Niteiru are distinct named recordings. |
| Exceptional endings | Uses such as tears – ReMix2013 sit outside the simple four-part original-TV table. |
| Insert music | Shinkai no Kodoku and ReTracks releases do not expand the original four opening slots. |
ReMix2013 is an official release designation, as shown in the FlyingDog catalogue. Matching only the base song title can conceal a different recording.
Is Wings of Words or vestige the fourth opening?
The answer depends on the version. Wings of Words is the late opening in the original broadcast. vestige has several contexts, including insert use, FINAL PLUS and the HD opening. Replacing the original-TV entry with vestige without a version label erases that distinction.
This article does not claim that a popularity judgement caused the change. We have not verified an official statement supporting that explanation.
Special Edition and FINAL PLUS are separate categories
Result, tears and Enrai – Tooku ni Aru Akari do not mean the original TV broadcast had seven regular ending slots. Keep compilation and special-release uses separate. INVOKE belongs to the earlier SEED series; the FREEDOM film’s music is another subject again.

These selections come from rights-holder or official artist sources. They include music videos, label-provided audio and a live performance, not a claim that every item is an original creditless TV sequence. Nothing is set to autoplay.

Choose recordings and video extras separately
SEED DESTINY COMPLETE BEST, SMCL-111–112, is a CD-plus-DVD edition. It is a way to collect the original themes, not a complete archive of every later HD recording. If the DVD matters, distinguish it from CD-only editions and used copies with missing components.
SEED DESTINY COMPLETE BEST, CD+DVD
SMCL-111–112: thirteen-track CD plus DVD. Checked main Amazon offer and Rakuten photo supplier are used. Check both discs, condition and any missing extras.

Compare Sony Music’s edition information with the specific seller’s description. A used listing may repeat the original bonus list while also excluding bonus items in its general conditions. This article does not guarantee a complete set of cards, cases or other extras.
