The original Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans TV run has eight regular opening and ending themes: four from season 1 and four from season 2. This guide identifies the songs, performers and official creditless videos. “Blaze,” used for the special edition, and the insert songs are listed separately.

All eight original TV opening and ending themes
The table describes the regular themes by season and half-season. It is not a claim that every episode uses exactly the same sequence: special endings and episodes without a normal sequence need to be considered separately. These official videos reveal later characters and machines, so they can contain spoilers.

Season 1: the first four themes
Opening 1: Raise your flag — MAN WITH A MISSION
The first opening introduces the journey with a forceful rock sound. It provides a direct starting point for matching the song you remember to Tekkadan’s early story. The official creditless upload below shows the opening edit rather than a full-length album track.
Ending 1: オルフェンズの涙 — MISIA
Often searched for as Orphans no Namida, this is the first season’s first ending. The Japanese title includes the word “orphans”; the performer is MISIA. Its reflective quality makes a useful contrast to the drive of the opening.
Opening 2: Survivor — BLUE ENCOUNT
This is the opening for the second half of season 1. Include the band’s name when searching, because “Survivor” alone can lead to unrelated songs by other performers.
Ending 2: STEEL-鉄血の絆- — TRUE
The second regular ending of season 1. Search with both “STEEL” and TRUE if you only remember the Japanese subtitle. It belongs with the first season, not the later season’s final ending.
Season 2: the final four regular themes
Opening 3: RAGE OF DUST — SPYAIR
The first opening of season 2. Keep the original TV theme distinct from the later “New Version” release when choosing a recording. The official anniversary creditless upload identifies the TV opening sequence.
Ending 3: 少年の果て — GRANRODEO
Shōnen no Hate is the regular ending for the first half of season 2. It should not be assigned to the same half-season as Uru’s “Freesia.”
Opening 4: Fighter — KANA-BOON
The second half of season 2 uses this opening. As with “Survivor,” the performer’s name is useful for avoiding unrelated recordings with an identical title.
Ending 4: フリージア — Uru
“Freesia” is the ending for the second half of season 2. If you first encountered it through a scene shared online, this season-and-role identification is a clearer starting point than treating the song solely as a meme.
Blaze and the insert songs are separate
“Blaze,” by MAN WITH A MISSION, is the special-edition opening. It is not a ninth regular theme from the original TV broadcast. The official 2025 tenth-anniversary video collection contains nine sequences because it adds this special-edition opening to the original eight.
Yuko Suzuhana’s 「戦火の灯火」 and 「天空の先へ」 are insert songs. Music for Urdr-Hunt should likewise be identified under that production rather than folded into the original TV opening-and-ending count.

Why do sources mention eight, nine or ten?
They count different things: eight regular TV themes, nine official anniversary videos including “Blaze,” and ten CD tracks in the 2017 compilation including two insert songs. The embedded sequences are short opening/ending edits, not the full-length recordings on the CD.
