Master Asia’s Greeting: The Undefeated East, Burning Red and Domon’s Farewell

“The School of the Undefeated of the East” greeting, ending with the East burning red, is an exchange between Master Asia and his pupil Domon Kasshu in Mobile Fighter G Gundam. The reunion in episode 12 and the farewell in episode 45 are the key scenes: the same declaration connects exhilaration with grief.

The complete short greeting, through the burning red East

流派、東方不敗は!
王者の風よ!
全新! 系列!
天破侠乱!
見よ、東方は赤く燃えている!

Read it as an exchange, not a single uninterrupted speech by Master Asia. The master calls, Domon answers, and the declaration builds through their shared rhythm. English translations differ between releases; this article uses the Japanese wording and explains the sense rather than presenting a newly written translation as an official subtitle.

The greeting proclaims the pride and force of their martial school, then draws attention to the burning red East. The licensed STRICT-G greeting T-shirt entry also identifies the sequence as its motif.

Japanese spelling and readings

全新系列 is read zenshin keiretsu; 天破侠乱 is tenpa kyōran. These are stylised words within the school’s declaration, rather than phrases that need a rigid everyday dictionary translation. Do not silently change 全新 to 全身 or 天破侠乱 to a similar-sounding spelling. The Chinese-style text displayed in art and merchandise is not always a character-for-character transcription of the spoken Japanese. 石破天驚 and 天破侠乱 should therefore remain distinct.

Episode 12: the joy of reunion

Master Asia saves Domon during the Death Army attack in Shinjuku. The official episode synopsis identifies him as Domon’s teacher and the previous Gundam Fight champion. Their movements and greeting show a shared history before the plot fully explains the coming conflict.

For someone who only knows the quotation online, this is the useful starting point. The declaration is a relationship in action: Domon knows how to respond, and his delight comes through the performance. Watching it again after the later episodes changes the emotional weight.

Episode 45: the final shared horizon

The official episode 45 synopsis frames the last battle around Master Asia’s grief for the damaged Earth. Domon must confront his teacher’s answer to that grief. Their final exchange gives the earlier declaration a different meaning: their beliefs have clashed, yet what the teacher passed on has not simply disappeared.

The red eastern sky becomes a final view they can share. The reunion and farewell work together; isolating the last sentence loses the history that makes it moving.
